Lead sheets/ Lead plates
Lead plate, a plate made of rolled metal lead. The specific gravity is 11.345g/cm3. It has strong corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance. It is also a kind of cheaper radiation protection material in acid-resistant environment construction, medical radiation protection, X-ray, CT room radiation protection, weight, sound insulation and many other aspects.
At present, the thickness of the common domestic 0.5-500 mm, commonly used specifications for 1000*2000 MM, the best domestic machine can make the widest 2000MM, the longest 30000 MM, mostly using 1 # electrolytic lead in production, some of it is also made from recycled lead. Its quality is slightly worse, and the price is slightly different.
It is mainly used for making lead-acid batteries, using lead sheets and pipes as lining protection equipment in acid-making and metallurgical industries, and using lead as cable cladding and fuse in electrical industry. Lead alloys containing tin and antimony are used for printing movable type, Lead-Tin Alloys for making fusible lead electrodes, lead sheets and lead-plated steel sheets for the construction industry. Lead has good absorption to X-ray and gamma-ray and is widely used as protective material for X-ray machines and atomic energy devices.
