Dunk tank is a kind of liquid disinfection. At present, it is widely used in high-level laboratories. Its function is basically the same as the pass box, but its structure is different from the pass box. When in use, open the door leaf at one side, pull up the grid plate, put in objects and put down the grid plate. The objects are immersed in the liquid, then cover the door. After the objects are cleaned and decontaminated, take them out from the other side. The dunk tank is also have a function of double door interlocking.
TheĀ dunk tank allows for the passage of materials that are heat sensitive or can of be decontaminated using a liquid disinfectant across the bio containment barrier. Constructed from 304 stainless steel the dunk tank can be used with multiple disinfectants such as (phenolics, glutaraldehydes, quaternary ammonium compounds, hydrogen peroxide, alcohols, proteinated iodines, and sodium hypochlorite).
The tank dimensions can also be customized to suite to the the users exact requirements.
Note: biosafety protocols will determine which disinfectant is used, when it is replenished, and what concentrations are required.
